Maren Oslund is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) which means that she has a Master's Degree in Social Work and has completed the highest level of licensure for social workers in the state of Massachusetts.  She has worked in this field since 2004 and has focused primarily on issues related to adoption and autism spectrum disorder.  Though she frequently practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, she adapts her clinical approach to the unique challenges of the individual, and is highly influenced by her understanding of strength-based practice, family systems theories, and attachment theories.

Maren believes that for therapy to work, she and the client must have a strong therapeutic relationship.  The client must trust Maren and have confidence that she can help.  When working with children and adolescents, Maren is not afraid to be creative and silly.  It is not unheard of to see Maren walking backwards down the hall with kids, listening to teenager's favorite music during sessions, or engaging in whatever activity the client is excited about at the time.

Maren is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  She is licensed in the state of Massachusetts (License # 115677).
